Lighting Design for a Song

This final project’s goal was for each student to choose a song that lasted more than 3 minutes and create a lighting design off the song. Its purpose was to have the student put together all the steps they learned about the design process for lighting and make a design based off what they learned using moving lights in a 3D augmented program.

For this project I chose the song “Cigarettes on Patios” by BabyJake. I wanted this song to feel like a college party with streams of lights moving through the space. I also wanted to capture main themes of money, party life style, and friendship.
